Summary of Season 2009 / 2010
The season was all about beating Rafa Boys to the titlle as we became Premier League Champoins on the very last day of the season and won only by 2 goals having finished the season on the same number of points as Rafa Boys.
Finishing as Champions should have gained us automatic promotion to the Amateur or Senior League but were were unlucky this year as there were 6 teams trying to only 4 available places.
The play off's were organised by the SWFA and held at Sully Sports - were were drawn against Cornelly FC from Port Talbot and Penyrheol FC (who has not lost a game for 2 years). We expected two very hard games but largely because of the way we played (it was like watching Arsenal at times) the games were reasonably comfortable. We beat Cornelly FC 3-1 and then 2 days later thrashed Penyrheol FC 7-1.
We are already planning to take our new league by storm and are already looking for a top three finish.
When we started the Club we felt that it would take 5 years to get into the Senior or Amateur League - we are 2 years ahead of schedule.
